when love matters

alhamdulillah. i still have the chance to breath. today was quite an exciting day for me. early in the morning, i headed to 'tasik biawak' (USM lake) to conduct this week's myfamily meeting a.k.a. usrah with my juniors. we jogged enthusiastically for 3-4 rounds before discussing a little bit regarding Rasullulah migration to Medina. i purposedly chosed this topic to relate it with new year. and syukur alhamdulillah, everyone in the group took part in the discussion actively. i'm very happy for that =). i just wondering who gonna replace me as soon as i leave the campus next semester. i wanna someone who is caring towards my little sisters because i believe, through love, the ukhwah will last forever.

the rest of the day, i spent by completing my lab report. so much to be discussed. *sigh* in the evening, i met my little Nuha. i knew her last semester and till now, we keep in touch with each other even though she studied in the other side of penang. i enjoy talking to her. and again, i believe love plays an important role here. wink wink! (^_^)

talking about love again, USM already started the free from styrofoam campaign. the cafes are not allowed to use the styrofoam instead replace it with a type of biodegradable container. students can either bring their own tupperware or pay extra 20 cent for that special container. the last choice, eat at the cafe. as for me, i prefer to eat at the cafe. easy. relaxing. and i already bought a new big tupperware in case i don't have the chance to eat there. quite 'melecehkan' to someobody else but not for me. i support this campaign 150%. yeah, we know styrofoam is hazardous to the human beings. one of the carcinogens. and i don't want to spend my whole life discpensing chemo drugs. very risky to me and the patient as well due to their unpredictable side effects. somehow, i remembered, when i was in form 4 if i'm not mistaken, my biology teacher, Madam Ooi already advised us to use the tupperware instead of the styrofoam. that time i don't think that was a good idea but after completing my chemotherapy subject, i absolutely agree!! but i still wondering why they still use the plastic bag and plastic straw? perhaps the campus want to start with something small before it leads to something bigger in the future. yeah, maybe. just wait and see.

here i listed 10 tips for going green campaign organised by the healthy campus :

1. eat at the cafeteria. finish your meal (yeah, eacting at the cafe is always my choice)
2. use own reusable food and drink container (hee, i just started today)
3. save paper. think before you print. print on both side of paper (i still use extra pages in my secondary 'buku tulis' to draft my reports etc. such a waste if i simply throw them. and i never want to waste printing without purpose. ink printer mahal la ;))
4. switch off light, fans and other electrical equipment when not in use (i'm forgetful sometimes!)
5. walk, cycle and use public transportation more often (i use everyday. after walking in miles for these 4 years, i believe my muscle cells are well-developed and absolutely healthy, hee ; but in reality, they are fatigue most of the time)
6. turn off the tap while brushing your teeth (passed!babah thought this to me since i was a small littel girl)
7. don't use screen saver. turn off or blank your monitor ahen not in use (errr, aye aye sir!)
8. buy products which you will use for a long time ( i wanna a mp3 player and a SLR digital camera!)
9. use electronic facilities to store and read document (and i need to see the optometrist every month i guess)
10. practise the 4R's - Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (yeah!as well as 4S' - save money, sihat, sokong and sakit mata) hehe..

in other words, if we really love the nature, we must make this campaign a success. again, love plays its part. iAllah.
